A League Of Their Own marked a new direction for James Corden, heralding his phenomenal success as a TV host. With a unique blend of sports, comedy and entertainment, The BAFTA award-winning show made its mark on popular culture by inventing Olympian Sir Mo Farah’s ‘Mobot’, tattooing One Direction’s Niall Horan and smashing several Guinness World Records. Today, it is still one of Sky’s most successful entertainment shows. The show’s debut in 2010 smashed viewing figures, making A League of Their Own the highest-rating series on Sky One.
Unserious About Sport
The campaign was a playful parody of high-budget sportswear ads, such as those from Nike and Adidas. We specifically spoofed a recent Nike commercial featuring Fernando Torres, which helped us tap into current cultural moments and extend our reach.
